Monday November 14th we recognize World Diabetes day, with the month of November being Diabetes Awareness Month across the globe. Officially named in 1991 – it serves to unite the global community to raise awareness for diabetes.
This year marks the 101th anniversary of the discovery of insulin. While this was a life changing discovery, today we also know there are many ways to fight this disease. According to International Diabetes Federation, 1 in 10 adults worldwide are currently living with Diabetes, with the majority of these people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Unfortunately, "a significant proportion of youth with type 2 diabetes live below the poverty line or come from low-resources homes 1."

At Ketolibriyum, we have always believed food has the power to heal. That message holds true for those who are fighting diabetes. The 2021 - 2023 World Diabetes Day theme has been named ‘’Access to Care’’. To us, that means access to knowledge and the right foods to help manage and even achieve remission with this disease.
Food has the power to heal.
We know the power of eating low-carb to help manage diabetes. It is no secret you can lower your blood sugar and reduce your need for medication – but there are many who don’t know. Together, we can and will continue to work towards improving the number for this disease.
We are committed to raising awareness and funds to support organizations encouraging healthy habits, especially among children. We are excited to re-introduce our best selling chocolate chip cookies this month with 100% of the profits being donated to people fighting against these statistics.
We are thrilled to share this initiative so close to our hearts with you. To get involved, all you have to do is grab some cookies with your next order.
